Rensselaer's New Southeastern Connecticut Site to Open January 12, 2009
HARTFORD, CONN – Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's new Southeastern Connecticut Site located at Mystic Executive Park in Groton, will open for classes on January 12, 2009, the start of Rensselaer's Spring 2009 academic term. This new site is conveniently located off I-95, exit 88, at 115 Poheganut Drive in Groton. Renowned faculty from Rensselaer's Hartford Campus will teach at the Southeastern Connecticut Site. Previously, the Site was located at the Trails Corner Professional Center in Groton.
Rensselaer will have newly constructed classrooms, a computer room, student lounge, and wireless access at Mystic Executive Park. In addition, there is abundant free parking available at the Site. The phone number at Rensselaer's Southeastern Connecticut Site will remain the same: (860) 449-8157.
Rensselaer has been serving students and corporations in southeastern Connecticut since 1977. Courses leading to the Master of Business Administration; Master of Science in Management, Computer Science, and Engineering Science; Master of Science or Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering; and Master of Engineering in Computer and Systems Engineering are offered at the Southeastern Connecticut Site.
Popular cohort programs at the Site include the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), the Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, and the Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. All of these programs take place entirely in Groton. In addition, the Nuclear Power Engineering course taught at the Mystic Executive Park is in very high demand.
