BusinessWeek Survey Ranks Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) Among World’s Best in Executive Education — Rensselaer Offers CCL
HARTFORD, CONN – Rensselaer is the only licensed Network Associate in the Northeast of the nationally recognized Center for Creative Leadership (CCL). CCL has again been ranked among the world’s top providers in BusinessWeek’s biennial survey released in November. BusinessWeek rated CCL No. 3 worldwide for Custom Programs, and No. 5 in the Open-Enrollment category. BusinessWeek’s special report on business education is available at: http://bwnt.businessweek.com/bschools/execed_rankings_2009/?chan=magazine+channel_special+report.
CCL, which provides leadership training worldwide from its offices in Asia, Europe and North America, is the only institution in the survey that focuses exclusively on leadership education and research. BusinessWeek is the second major news outlet this year to give CCL high marks. In May, the Financial Times ranked CCL No. 6 worldwide in executive education. Through the licensing arrangement, Rensselaer offers two distinct leadership programs designed to assess the leadership qualities of emerging leaders/managers and senior-level managers.
The programs offered are:
• Foundations of Leadership – An intensive three-day program designed to create a solid foundation for understanding the challenges faced by new managers.
• Leadership Development Program (LDP)® – An intense, five-day program designed to improve the effectiveness of upper-middle to senior-level managers by helping them to recognize their strengths and weaknesses as leaders.
CCL classes are now forming for March 2010 sessions to be held at Rensselaer’s Hartford campus. It is important to register as far in advance as possible as class size is limited and programs require prework.
