Houman Younessi, Ph.D.
Faculty Coordinator for ISP Information Technology
Professor
Dr. Younessi combines world-class research-based knowledge with industry experience to bring forth innovations in research as well as in the classroom and to industry. He is the inventor of the State Behavior Modeling (SBM) method and the coinventor of the OPEN methodology and the new paradigm of recombinant programming. A multi-disciplinarian, he has expertise in many fields including electrical engineering, decision science, software and systems engineering, information systems, business and enterprise management, and enterprise modeling and codesign, as well as molecular biology, bioinformatics, genetics, and biochemistry.
Dr. Younessi has authored over 50 publications including three books.

Randall G. Peteros, J.D.
Faculty Coordinator for ISP Enterprise Management
Assistant Professor
With over 15 years of experience in investment consulting and academia, Professor Peteros teaches courses in Investment Analysis and Taxation. He has published a book, Operating Private Investment Partnerships, and is currently working on a second book, Sustainable Investment Strategies and Risk Management: Application and Theory. Professor Peteros’s research focuses on alternative investment strategies, measuring sustainable shareholder value, and behavioral finance. He has consulted for public and private companies in the areas of asset allocation, institutional investing, and retirement plan design.

Eugene Eberbach, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Dr. Eberbach is a Clinical Associate Professor at Department of Engineering and Science, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Hartford, USA. Previously he was an Associate Professor at Computer and Information Science Department and Intercampus Graduate School of Marine Sciences and Technology, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, USA; a Professor with tenure at School of Computer Science, Acadia University and an Adjunct Professor at Faculty of Graduate Studies, Dalhousie University, Canada; Senior Scientist at Applied Research Lab, The Pennsylvania State University; Visiting Professor at The University of Memphis, USA; Research Scientist at University College London, U.K.; Assistant Professor in Poland, and he also has industrial experience. Professor Eberbach's current work is in the areas of process algebras, resource bounded optimization, autonomous agents and mobile robotics. General topics of interest are new computing paradigms, languages and architectures, distributed computing, concurrency and interaction, evolutionary computing and neural nets. Dr. Eberbach is the author of more than 140 publications in the above areas and he has been a recipient of 17 external research grants. Edward D. Arnheiter, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Dr. Arnheiter is an affiliated faculty member in Decision
Sciences and Engineering Systems and serves as the
Associate Director of the Center for Lean Studies at the
Lally School. Prior to starting his academic career, Dr.
Arnheiter spent eleven years in industry as an operations
management practitioner in both the defense sector and
in consumer products manufacturing. Dr. Arnheiter’s
publications have appeared in The Quality Management
Journal, The TQM Magazine, and The Journal of
Manufacturing Technology Management. He has also
published case studies on lean management through the
Richard Ivey School of Business and the European Case
Clearing House. |
Dr. Simona Miani
Guest Professor
Dr. Miani is a member of the faculty of Computer Science at the
University of Rome - Sapienza. She specializes in Networks and Network
Security.

John Maleyeff, Ph.D.
Professor
Dr. Maleyeff's primary focus in recent years has been
the application of Lean principles to service
organizations. Dr. Maleyeff’s publications have appeared
in Quality Engineering, International Journal of Educational
Management, Journal of Management in Engineering, and
Customer Relationship Management. He has previously
served as a member of the technical staff at the RCA
David Sarnoff Research Center and as a visiting quality
consultant at LEGO Engineering A/S. Dr. Maleyeff is an
affiliated faculty member in Decision Sciences and
Engineering Systems. |
Dr. Pier Luigi Rotondo
Guest Professor
Dr. Rotondo is a systems scientist currently employed by IBM Rome
Laboratories. He is also affiliated with the Computer Science Department
at University of Rome where he teaches in the masters program in
information and communication security.

James P. Stodder, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Dr. Stodder is coauthor of the award-winning book on
Lean, Better Thinking, Better Results: Using the Power of
Lean as a Total Business Solution. The book won the
2003 Shingo Prize for research in Lean Management.
Dr. Stodder’s research and teaching are primarily
focused in international economics. He has been a
consultant to a large number of service organizations,
mainly in the public sector. Dr. Stodder has many
published works and often serves as an expert speaker.
He has presented papers in Montreal, Buenos Aires,
London, Cambridge, Lisbon, and Vienna. |
