Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor Examination Review Programs Offered by Rensselaer at Hartford

HARTFORD, CONN – Rensselaer at Hartford is offering review programs for the Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor Examinations. The Fall 2006 exam date is October 27 and preparatory classes begin in mid-August. Rensselaer has prepared well over 2,000 engineers studying to pass the State of Connecticut exams in professional engineering: Fundamentals in Engineering (EIT) Exam; Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Principals and Practices (PE) Exams; and the Land Surveyor Exam. Experts in each of the specific engineering areas review and solve problems judged to be representative of the type and complexity encountered in the examination. Teams of practicing professional engineers and members of the engineering faculty at Rensselaer at Hartford are selected to teach in their specific areas of expertise.

Exam review programs include: fundamentals of engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering (a new course), and land surveyor. Early registration is recommended since classes fill up quickly.

Students in the program review study tips and fundamental concepts, in addition to solving problems resembling those on the exams. The course fee includes comprehensive guides that cover both background review topics and sample questions similar to those found on the exams. More information about the review program may be obtained by contacting Elaine Papanic, Rensselaer at Hartford, at (860) 548-2477 or toll-free at (800) 433-4723, ext. 2477. Additional information and a schedule of courses may also be found on the Web at: www.rh.edu/rcpd/pe/.
