News Rensselaer Centers for Professional Development Offers BusinessWeek Magazine's Top-Ranked Leadership ProgramsHARTFORD , CONN – Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Centers for Professional Development is part of an elite international network licensed by the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) ® to offer its renowned leadership programs. CCL programs have been the top-ranked leadership programs, according to BusinessWeek magazine, for six consecutive years. There are two different leadership programs that focus on two different audiences offered by Rensselaer at its Hartford campus: Leadership Development Program (LDP) ® and Foundations of Leadership (FOL). LDP is an intense, five-day program designed to improve the effectiveness of upper-middle to senior-level managers by helping them to recognize their strengths and weaknesses as leaders. FOL is a concentrated three-day program designed to improve critical skills for people early in their management career by focusing on their effectiveness in influencing and managing conflict. The five-day LDP sessions are scheduled to run in Hartford : June 6-10 and September 26-30; while the three-day FOL sessions will be offered in Hartford : June 21-23, September 13-15, and November 29- December 1, 2005 .
