Events Open Invitation to the 21st Annual Rensselaer at Hartford Computer Science Conference and Published Conference ProceedingsEVENT:The Department of Engineering and Science at Rensselaer at Hartford proudly presents the 21st Annual Computer Science Conference. The objectives of the conference are: to provide a public forum for the presentation of current work in the broad and evolving fields of Computer Science and Information Technology; to transfer the theory, research results, and technology of Computer Science from the academic environment to local industry for use in new applications; and to exchange information across the specialized fields within Computer Science and Engineering. The conference is aimed at a wide audience with diverse interests and experience. This year’s conference includes papers on a wide range of topics such as: supporting scientific data processing, semantic web, Web technologies, software engineering processes, implementation technologies, authentication security, network security applications, databases, system design and architecture, and networking issues and techniques. DATE: Saturday, April 16, 2005 TIME: 8:15 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. SCHEDULE: Registration starts at 8:15 a.m., and the first session is at 8:45 a.m. Five parallel presentation tracks will be chaired by Hartford faculty, with 54 papers to be presented. The Conference will close with an awards presentation (Best Presentation and Most Original Paper) at 3:15 p.m. Guests are welcome to attend as many sessions as desired. Published copies of the Conference Proceedings will be available for purchase on CD at $10 per disc. REFRESHMENTS: Lunch is from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the on-site cafeteria, at a cost of $7.50 per person. Guests may purchase a lunch ticket the day of the conference.
