Events Rensselaer Alumni Association Hosts Career Networking NightEVENT: The Rensselaer Alumni Association (RAA) Hartford Chapter is pleased to host a Career Networking Night at Rensselaer 's Hartford campus as part of its series of career-oriented seminars. Whether you seek to improve upon your current position, are looking for better career opportunities, or are actively searching for a job, this program will provide you with the opportunity to discuss networking techniques and experiences, and practice your communication skills. DATE: Wednesday, May 25, 2005 TIME: 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. LOCATION, DIRECTIONS, PARKING: Seminar Hall, Rensselaer at Hartford , 275 Windsor Street , Hartford , Connecticut . ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION: Registration is $10 for dues-paying chapter members and $15 for non dues-paying chapter members. If you're not already a chapter member and would like the discounted rate, please include your dues of $15. PROGRAM SCHEDULE: Career management firms, government agencies, and technical organizations will be present to provide information and answer questions related to the job market. They will also discuss how to successfully identify and approach opportunities, and will highlight the tools necessary for career advancement in today's job market. Information tables from participating organizations will display related materials. Organizations that will have representatives available throughout the evening include: American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Connecticut Department of Labor, Connecticut Technology Council, Drake Beam Morin (DBM), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Rensselaer Career Development Center, Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International, and the Career Counseling Center at the University of Hartford.
