Events Open Invitation to the 20th Annual Rensselaer at Hartford Computer Science Conference and Published Conference Proceedings EVENT: The Department of Engineering and Science at Rensselaer at Hartford proudly presents the 20th Annual Computer Science Conference. This is a public presentation of current work in the broad and evolving fields of Computer Science and Information Technology. The papers represent a yearlong effort by students who are candidates for the Master of Science degree in Computer Science or Information Technology at Rensselaer. The presentations are the culmination of their research into a variety of advanced areas of interest. This year’s conference includes papers on a wide range of topics such as: networks, security, performance, metrics, web services, semantic web, software development, databases, usability, software engineering, and operating systems. DATE: Saturday, April 24, 2004 TIME: 8:15 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. SCHEDULE: Registration starts at 8:15 a.m., and the first session is at 8:45 a.m. Six parallel presentation tracks will be chaired by Hartford faculty, with 54 papers to be presented. The Conference will close with an awards presentation (Best Presentation and Most Original Paper) at 3:15 p.m. Guests are welcome to attend as many sessions as desired. LOCATION: Level 3, Rensselaer at Hartford, 275 Windsor Street, Hartford, Connecticut ADMISSION: FREE! Open to the public. All are welcome to attend. Published copies of the Conference Proceedings will be available for purchase on CD at $10 per disc. REFRESHMENTS: Lunch is from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the on-site cafeteria, at a cost of $6.25 per person. Guests may purchase a lunch ticket the day of the conference.
