Newsmakers Rensselaer at Hartford Professors Named Co-Editors of Journal HARTFORD, CONN – William J. Luddy, Jr., J.D., and Peter W. Schroth, S.J.D., Professors in the Lally School of Management and Technology, Rensselaer at Hartford, were named co-Editors-in-Chief of the Journal of Legal Studies in Business (JLSB). The announcement was made by Steven Arsenault, Assistant Professor at the College of Charleston School of Business and Economics and President of the Southeastern Academy of Legal Studies in Business, which sponsors the Journal. The JLSB, published since 1992, is a blind-peer-reviewed journal that is unlike most law reviews in being edited solely by professors, rather than students. It is published with the support of West Group. The Journal is indexed in Cabell's and the Index to Legal Periodicals. It has a national circulation with over 700 subscribing libraries. Professor Luddy (www.ewp.rpi.edu/hartford/~wjl/) is a Connecticut lawyer and a former Dean of the Hartford Graduate Center’s School of Management, which merged with the Lally School of Management and Technology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in 1997. He is a member of the United States delegation to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and an Advisor to the U.S. Department of State, particularly in the area of global e-commerce policy. He is the author of a Prentice-Hall book on computer law, an Editor of the Connecticut Bar Journal, and founding Editor-in-Chief of The Health Lawyer, an American Bar Association publication. Professor Schroth (www.ewp.rpi.edu/hartford/~schroth/) is a Connecticut lawyer and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He is Professor of International Finance and Director of the Center for Global Business Studies in the Lally School. Dr. Schroth is also the Editor of the Journal of Business in Developing Nations, the Editor-in-Chief of the Connecticut Bar Journal, and the Recent Decisions Editor of the New York International Law Review. Most of his many publications are in the area of international business law. He is a former General Counsel of HSBC Equator Bank plc, Glastonbury, Connecticut. Both Professor Luddy and Professor Schroth are Rensselaer alumni.
