homepage COURSE RESERVES (STUDENTS)
Reserve materials are available at the Cole Library's Information Services Desk. Students will need to present their Rensselaer at Hartford identification card to borrow reserve materials. Reserve items may include books, articles, course video tapes and other materials. Items are placed on reserve only at the request of faculty. Textbooks are not automatically placed on reserve.

Loan periods for reserve materials are set by faculty. Possible loan periods are 2 hours, 1 day (overnight), 2 days, and 1 week. Please speak with your instructor if you require a loan period other than the one set for a particular item. Faculty must notify the library in writing or by phone if they wish to change the loan period for a particular student or permanently.

Students may borrow up to two reserve items (or video tapes for two class sessions) at one time.

Reserve materials may not be renewed.

Reserve materials must be returned directly to the Cole Library. They should not be placed in the drop box.

Reserve fines are two dollars per day, per item. Reserve fines are applied to course video tapes; each class session (generally consisting of two tapes) is considered one item.
