| For help with the writing phase of a project, see the Rensselaer Writing Center, especially the e-handouts and online resources. An additional set of tutorials from the Writing Center at Rensselaer gives guidance on writing processes (thesis, introduction, conclusion) and writing mechanics (grammar, punctuation, etc.) The Writing Center at Rensselaer can provide individual help with formatting academic papers, expressing your ideas clearly, English grammar and usage, and citing sources. The Writing Center is physically located in Troy, NY. Carol Hughes Ph.D., a retired professor who usually advises graduate students, is happy to work with Harford Campus students via e-mail to and telephone. The Purdue Online Writing Center's online guide Avoiding Plagiarism gives detailed instruction on when and how to cite sources and how to track source information throughout a writing project.
