You are plagiarizing if you…
  • Change or rearrange a few words from the original text to paraphrase it.
  • Don't use quotation marks when you use word-for-word information in your paper.
  • Copy another student’s paper and turn it in as your own.
  • Download a paper from a term paper website and submit it as your own.
  • Copy and paste sections of a website directly into your paper without acknowledging the source of the information.
