You may also wish to search ReQuest, a catalog of the holdings in most Connecticut libraries.

Current Rensselaer at Hartford students, faculty and staff may use the Cole Library's Interlibrary Loan service to borrow books from other libraries.

Finding Articles and Conference Papers

Use Periodical Indexes and Databases to find conference papers and articles in journals, newspapers and magazines. Indexes are available in many subject areas and in many different forms - Print, CD-ROM and Internet-based. Some indexes and databases will contain only citations, others will include abstracts, and some will contain the full text of articles.

When collecting citations and abstracts, make sure you keep a record of each article's complete citation. This would include the title and author of the article, the title of the journal, magazine or conference, the date of issue, and page numbers. Consult the Full-Text Journals A-Z to see if the Library owns a particular journal or magazine that you need. Most conference proceedings in our collection can be found using Rensselaer Libraries' Catalog.

If you find useful articles or conference papers not owned by the Cole Library, then request them through Interlibrary Loan. Remember that this service is only available to current Rensselaer at Hartford students, faculty and staff.
