The Cole Library's professional staff is happy to provide reference and research assistance to Rensselaer at Hartford faculty. In order to provide a link between the library and the faculty, the library has established the Library Liaison Assistance Program (LLAP). The goals of this program are to:
- Enhance collaboration between the library and academic units;
- Develop a collaborative framework to support the library's instructional mission;
- Provide a conduit for the library to communicate and discuss library issues and concerns with the faculty; and
- Develop a proactive stance toward information resources for the larger university community.
The members of the library's Reference Team are your Library Liaisons, and they will periodically get in touch with the full-time faculty members they are assigned to. They will share library news with you, and they will also offer various services, including the following:
- Reference assistance for your students through in class Research Workshops, Course-Specific Guides on the library's web site, or content on your own web site or WebCT site; and
- Assistance with your own research questions.
