ABOUT THE COLE LIBRARY
The Robert L. and Sara Marcy Cole Library was named September 10, 1997 in recognition of a gift from the estate of Robert L. Cole, third president of the institution (1985-1986). President Cole, who had thirty years of experience as a senior corporate executive in high-technology companies, was noted for cultivating a closer working relationship with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

The Cole Library has a specialized collection of books, journals and electronic subscriptions in Computer Science, Engineering and Business Management. The collection includes publications from business and professional groups such as the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Conference Board and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Rensselaer Libraries' Catalog is the online catalog for the Cole Library and the libraries on the Troy campus. The Cole Library Web site provides access to online information sources and databases. For a complete list of available databases, please see our Databases page. Database access is restricted to members of the Rensselaer at Hartford community.
