Building Hours for Rensselaer students:
Monday - Thursday: 2 - 10 p.m.
Friday, Saturday: Varies by class schedule Free on-site parking is provided. Entry is through the main entrance. Security personnel or Rensselaer staff will assist students entering the building during posted hours of operation. Rensselaer's Groton Administrative Office and classrooms are located on the second floor.

Textbooks and Other Materials

Distributed Education and Multimedia
The Groton distributed education facilities are designed to send and receive courses at the Groton Site. Three interactive compressed video send and receive rooms with audio and video systems are available. One multimedia computer classroom is available for classes, which may also be configured for distributed education. Distributed Education and Multimedia staff assist with the technical and logistical aspects of these classes and provide audiovisual support.

Cole Library Services
Both faculty and students are asked to refer to "General Information" at http://www.ewp.rpi.edu/hartford./library/geninfo.htm for more complete introduction to services provided by the Cole Library. Resources are provided to the Trails Corner student through the Cole Library website www.ewp.rpi.edu/hartford/library. The borrowing, reference book collection, and print periodical holdings may be viewed from selecting the appropriate link at http://www.ewp.rpi.edu/hartford./library/catalog.htm. Books from the Hartford collection are loaned to students via the shuttle and are made available to you at the Administrative Office. To borrow books form the Cole Library collection or to request a book from another library fill out the interlibrary loan form at http://illiad.lib.rpi.edu/illiad/GHG/logon.html. Journal articles and conference proceedings not available full-text through the "Database" page www.ewp.rpi.edu/hartford./library/dbs.htm, are also obtained through interlibrary loan. Fill out the form at www.ewp.rpi.edu/hartford./library/forms/illarticle.htm. Any questions regarding interlibrary loan may be addressed to interlib@ewp.rpi.edu. Students are encouraged to send reference questions through email lib-info@ewp.rpi.edu. Turnaround time for answers is usually 24 hours. Consult "Research Guides" at www.ewp.rpi.edu/hartford./library/geninfo.htm for assistance in locating both print reference and Internet sites by subject referral or other research approaches. Technical and Information Services
The Groton computing facilities have hardware and software resources consistent with those available in Hartford. Students have access to one computing classroom with twelve PCs and four Sun Ultra 10 desktop workstations. Each system has a myriad of software applications installed and is connected to the Hartford Campus local area network, providing access to the Internet as well as file and print services. The Groton fileserver is a Sun Ultra 10 with 100 GB of storage space. The Groton computing facilities are located on the second floor of the Trails Corner Professional Center.
