Weekend
M.B.A.
The Lally School of Management and Technology’s
Weekend M.B.A. (WEMBA) Program is designed for highly motivated
professionals seeking to earn a Master of Business Administration
degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at an accelerated
pace. This 30-month program features a highly interactive
and engaging curriculum, which integrates innovation, entrepreneurship,
and leadership into coursework aimed at instructing students
in the art of managing a successful enterprise.
Cohort Formation
New WEMBA cohorts begin each fall and spring. Each cohort, consisting of 25-30 students, moves through the WEMBA curriculum as a unified group, which encourages the students to collaborate and learn from each other over an extended period of time. The cohort system fosters relationships that extend well beyond the classroom and provides ample opportunities for networking and social interactions.
- The WEMBA 21 cohort is scheduled to begin in September 2008. Call or e-mail now to begin the application process.
- You can also attend an upcoming Weekend
M.B.A. Open House. Click HERE for a schedule of luncheon and afternoon sessions.

The Focus of WEMBA: Leading the Business Enterprise of the Future
To be effective in the global economy, business managers need a clear understanding of the marketplace as well as the enterprise’s traditional internal business functions, strategic positioning, and the potential impact of external factors. The Lally School emphasizes the need for business leaders to be cognizant of the actions of all the direct and supporting players, and take responsibility for the entire system while monitoring and outpacing the competition. This requires constant strategic creation and re-creation of the partnerships and alliances that drive innovation and assure organizational viability.
